Facing the dual challenges of resource shortage and environmental deterioration, Dongpeng New Materials began to re-examine the value of material. Is there some untapped aesthetic potential hidden in all this seemingly useless waste? It is in this context that the "locally generated" rust series came into being. Dongpeng New material integrates the rust aesthetics with the solid waste of Longhushan sandstone, and endows the waste with new life and aesthetic value through innovative design thinking and technical means.
Transforming "Time" into Material
The Rust Series originates from industrial and natural solid wastes including rust waste from Jiujiang Steel Mill,red stone residues from Longhu Mountain,porcelain sand,and weathered stone—with up to 60% recycled content.Through specialized processing and technical innovation,these discarded materials are revitalized.
Each piece is imbued with rich,layered hues and unique textural variations,bearing the imprint of time and preserving traces of history—visualizing the elusive concept of “time” itself.No longer overlooked waste,these materials have been transformed into vessels of culture,narrating local stories and historical evolution.

Industry And Rust Aesthetics
The Rust series inherits the rusting aesthetics of industrial relics: the rusted iron materials show toughness and durability, while the warm tones of red stone give the works a sense of vitality and warmth.
