LOCALITY
Act Upon Locality 1.0
Starting from the perspective of "Material Terroir" and centered around the production base in Hukou, Jiangxi, on-site research was conducted within a 100-kilometer radius, covering areas such as Jingdezhen, Poyang Lake, and Jiujiang. Drawing inspiration from nature, industry, and materials, a localized exploration was carried out on various building material raw materials and products. This led to the creation of five major series of building materials—"Luan, Kun, Miao, Xiu, Xia"—transforming industrial solid waste into aesthetically pleasing and practical building materials, embodying a tangible commitment to exploring sustainable development.

Kūn
Adhering to the concept of sustainable products, Dongpeng New Materials sees the life vein of Jingdezhen waste porcelain remnants, takes the natural color of Jingdezhen waste porcelain and clay as creative inspiration, and creates a "locallygenerated" and "Kun" series of products. The products are made of solid waste materials such as Jingdezhen waste porcelain and steel slag. The waste porcelain is naturally integrated into theproducts and becomes a part of the texture and color, so that every piece of work exudes the beauty of simple and naturautensils.
Luán
Along the bank of Poyang Lake, through the hundred miles of scenery, inspired the Dongpeng new material "in the ground generation" series "mountains" series of product inspiration. From the Qing Dai of Lushan Mountain to the ceramic waste of Jingdezhen, we draw inspiration from nature and culture, integrate traditional aesthetics with modern technology, and recreate solid waste through high-tech means, so that the aesthetics of nature and civilization can continue and reproducein modern living space.
Miǎo
"Generated in the ground" Miao series integrates industrial solidwaste such as steel mill water slag, power plant fly ash and Jingdezhen porcelain waste (accounting for 50% of the solid waste), turning the waste from the previous industry into the raw material of the next industry, promoting the sustainability of resources and the environment with the flow, circulation and regeneration of materials. The combination of water color and industrial solid waste in Poyang not only makes the space morevivid and bright, creating a space atmosphere away from the bustle and poetic nature, but also becomes a bridge connecting the city and nature, reflecting the harmonious coexistence of industry and nature!
Xiù
Facing the dual challenges of resource shortage and environmental deterioration, Dongpeng New Materials began tore-examine the value of material.ls there some untapped aesthetic potential hidden in all this seemingly useless waste? lt is in this context that the "locally generated" rust series came into being. Dongpeng New material integrates the rust aesthetics with the solid waste of Longhushan sandstone, and endows the waste with new life and aesthetic value through innovative design thinking and technical means.
Xiá
With the rapid development of industrial civilization, the problems of environmental pollution and resource depletion are becoming more and more serious. In China, a large amount ofsolid waste (solid waste) is produced in the process of mining and industrial production. Among them, the annual discharge of waste stone exceeds 600 million tons, and the annual stripping of waste stone from open-pit iron mines alone reaches 400 million tons. "Generated in the ground" Xia series integrates red sandstone, wind fossil, granite, porcelain sand and other tailings and industrial solid waste (accounting for 70%), with the strong color and texture of red sandstone, to recreate the stunning natural color of Danxia landform.
